- Food? Only the odd roll.
- This friendly local is a must visit for everyone who wonders
where the traditional English pub has gone.
- Sunday lunchtimes - no food (except locally smoked cheese nibbles) but oh what wonderful community atmosphere.
- Pub always looks closed but don't be put off.
- Note the tilting stillages.
- Open all day from 12 noon
- Public transport! On the main bus route from Maldon to Tiptree and Colchester.
